National Book Projects Launch

“Changing lives, one book at a time.”

This fall, the Leaders Readers Network is launching our National Book Projects to partner with teachers at Title 1 Schools to provide brand new books to students in underfunded communities. Each book we give will include words of encouragement to inspire and motivate student recipients. Our goal is to provide 30,000 brand new books to students throughout the 2020-2021 school year.

Guidelines

Carefully read over our guidelines to be sure you are eligible to apply and to learn more about our process.

  1. Educator must work at a Title 1 Elementary School

  2. Educator must not have received support within the last two school years.

  3. The work you or your organization/group carry out must not seek to influence the outcome of any specific election for candidates to public office, induce or encourage violations of law or public policy or cause any improper private benefit to occur.

  4. The work for which you or your group/organization are receiving support from the LRN must be strictly for charitable purposes. 

  5. Educator must not discriminate against any group or class of people based on factors such as race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, age, or faith.

  6. Application requirements include submitting a video introducing yourself and why you want to take part in our National Book Project. 

What Information Do I Need to Apply?

  1. Teacher must be able to provide school name, mailing address, grade level, subject matter expertise, and number of boys and girls per grade level at your school.

  2. Applicants can provide a referral from a teacher ambassador, student ambassador, or community member. Please include their full name and contact information in your application.
