Two Frisco, Texas Students Spread Kindness at the Start of the School Year

When high school students Prisha Mehta and Manogna Jonnalagadda from Frisco, Texas began their journey with the Leaders Readers Network, they never looked back. They began their student ambassador journey during a time when the pandemic hit schools in March 2020. Both realizing the inequities in our education systems, they wanted to do something to help students at underfunded schools. Together, they launched Project Kind Packs to provide kindness and supplies to students at Title 1 Schools in Dallas, Texas.

From fundraising over $3,600 to rallying hundreds of students to volunteer, Prisha and Manogna were able to connect with teachers across Dallas to deliver Kind Packs to brighten up many teachers and students at the start of the 2020-2021 School Year. Their project landed them a congressional honor with (enter name), and both are committed to the Leaders Readers Network mission to support education equity and literacy for all. These students who are a part of our network are awe inspiring! We love partnering with students and student organizations to rally volunteers and support students at underfunded schools. If it is your dream to change lives, one student at time, join our network of students. E-mail hello@leadersreadersnetwork.org to ask us how to get started.
