TLRN & Hereford Kiwanis Club Team Up with Hereford High School’s Key Club to Spread Holiday Cheer

Texas Panhandle—The Leaders Readers Network was thrilled to participate in the Holiday Read-Aloud and Book Giveaway at Tierra Blanca Early Childhood Center in Hereford, Texas. We are grateful for the support of the Hereford High School Key Club and Hereford Kiwanis Club. Together, we were able to provide brand new books to 295 students and 17 teachers!

This was just one of several Holiday Book Giveaways scheduled this year. Nonetheless, it is always an extraordinary privilege to collaborate with our community to ensure our scholars receive brand new books. We are extremely fortunate to live in such a caring, philanthropic community. The spirit of joy was evident to all in involved.

Sharing the joy of reading with children this Christmas is a gift that lasts a lifetime. This is one of our favorite Kiwanis Club projects.
— Christine Miller, Hereford Kiwanis Club
The best part of the day was seeing the smiles on the children’s faces.
— Aeidyn S., Hereford High School Key Club
Reading and helping kids is important. I love to see the smiles on their faces.
— Dodd Scroggin, Hereford Kiwanis Club

While there is still much to be done, it is important to reflect on what we have already accomplished together. Thank you for helping us spread the joy of literacy to our avid readers and future leaders!
