  • We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to our vision of empowering teachers and students to be lifelong advocates for creating equal access to educational opportunities for all children through our mission and projects. We implement service projects with students, teachers, and community members to help students reach their highest educational potential.

  • Yes, we are an approved charitable 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

  • To cultivate a national network of leaders who provide books, supplies, and projects to support early literacy in underfunded schools.

  • All donations are tax-deductible and go towards supporting students, educators, and schools in need with brand-new books, service projects, lessons and activities, and resources.

  • The organization is governed by TLRN’s board of directors and is led by the Executive Director, Regional Directors, Program Coordinators, interns and volunteer leadership team.

  • We are currently looking for partners to help scale our Student Ambassador Project and Literacy Fellowship.   • We have different ways you can get involved. Here’s a list of opportunities for students, educators, and corporations.

    Student Ambassador Project: Student Ambassadors receive leadership training and learn how to implement service projects in their community by adopting an underserved classroom to provide books and educational resources.

    Literacy Fellowship: Educators within the literacy fellowship actively work within their schools and communities to provide diverse and culturally relevant books. These educators receive access to professional development, a diverse classroom library, and brand-new books for students throughout the year.
