At the Golden Apple Educator Awards, we celebrate educators who make a lasting impact on their classrooms, schools, and communities. These dedicated individuals do more than teach curriculumβ€”they instill self-confidence, kindness, compassion, and a love for learning in the next generation.

Award Categories

Educators can be nominated in one of seven categories:

🌟 Future Teacher Award
Awarded to a high school or college student aspiring to become an educator. Nominees must volunteer with The Leaders Readers Network or a similar organization that supports children in the Texas Panhandle and demonstrate a positive impact in a teacher's classroom.

🍎 First Year Teacher Award
Recognizing a first-year educator who demonstrates a passion for teaching and literacy in their classroom and community.

πŸ“– The Quill Award
Honoring an English teacher dedicated to instilling a lifelong love of reading and literature in their students.

πŸ† The Legacy of Learning Award
Celebrating a veteran educator with 15+ years of experience who has made a lasting impact on generations of students.

πŸ›οΈ The Pillar of Wisdom Award
For retired educators, including teachers, librarians, campus support professionals, and school leaders, who continue mentoring and advocating for public education.

πŸ“š The Golden Apple Literacy Award
Honoring a retired public school educator who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to literacy and education.

πŸ’‘ The Literacy Luminary Award
Recognizing a librarian or instructional coach who inspires students and teachers to be curious and seek knowledge. Nominees must be current public school educators.
