Call for Proposals: 2025 Literacy Summit

Sharing the JOY and SCIENCE of Reading Together

The Leaders Readers Network (TLRN) Literacy Summit invites educators and literacy leaders to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) to present at our 2025 conference in San Antonio, Texas. This is an opportunity to share your expertise, inspire fellow educators, and contribute to a community-driven professional development experience.

Presentation Opportunities

Accepted proposals will have the opportunity to present in one or more of the following formats:
📌 Poster Session – Share research, literacy initiatives, or classroom strategies in a visual format.
📌 Workshop a Literacy Lesson – Lead an interactive session showcasing evidence-based reading instruction.
📌 Roundtable Discussion – Facilitate conversations around literacy best practices, challenges, and solutions.

Proposal Guidelines

We encourage proposals that align with:
✅ Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) or the Common Core Curriculum
✅ The Five Pillars of the Science of Reading
✅ Evidence-Based Reading Lessons and Activities

Additionally, the TLRN Conference Review Committee will evaluate proposals based on how they relate to:
📚 Sharing the JOY and SCIENCE of Reading
📖 Diversity in Literacy
🤝 Service Projects that Align with Literacy Activities
📢 Read-Alouds that Engage and Motivate Readers of All Ages
👥 Reading Buddy Programs

RFP Submission Requirements

🔹 Complete the RFP form in full, including names of all presenters.
🔹 Presentation Title: Maximum 100 characters (including spaces and punctuation).
🔹 Presentation Description: Maximum 750 characters (including spaces and punctuation).
🔹 Each presenter may submit one proposal only.

Presenter Benefits

🎟️ Accepted presenters will receive:
✈️ Travel & Hotel Coverage – TLRN will cover travel and two nights of hotel stay for the primary presenter.
💡 Exclusive Presenter Access – Network with literacy leaders and gain access to summit resources.
🚀 Professional Development Credit – Earn PD hours for your participation.

Note: TLRN will not cover expenses for secondary presenters.
