VOLUNTEER TO READ TO A CLASS
Share the joy of storytelling and spark a lifelong love of reading.
TLRN’s Read Aloud Experience is a powerful way to engage your coworkers, service group, or community circle in meaningful impact—right inside the classroom. Together, you’ll help students fall in love with books and strengthen their literacy foundations, one story at a time.

Why It Works
Reading aloud to children isn’t just nostalgic—it’s transformational.
When young students hear fluent, expressive reading, they absorb the rhythm of language, discover new words, and experience joy tied to books. For classrooms without regular guest visitors or home libraries, this experience can be especially meaningful.
We make it easy for your group to plug in.
Here’s what to expect:
Each volunteer signs up for a one-time 30–45 minute classroom visit to read aloud and interact with students.
Choose a favorite children’s book, or let us provide one.
You’ll receive a brief Read Aloud Guide and optional classroom prompts in advance.
TLRN handles school coordination and match-making based on your group’s size and schedule.
Volunteer opportunities are flexible, whether you’re looking for:
A company-wide Day of Service
A small group outing from your office, club, or sorority/fraternity
A recurring volunteer commitment for your organization
