TLRN Recognized by the Amarillo Branch NAACP
Texas Panhandle—On Saturday, November 2, 2024, The Leaders Readers Network was recognized by the Amarillo Branch NAACP as the 2024 Special Achievement Award recipient. This award was given to our organization due to the extraordinary efforts of our educators who serve in our Literacy Fellowship who make it possible for our local students to receive new books through their classroom libraries, read-aloud events, and book giveaways. Furthermore, our dedicated team of volunteers have contributed significantly through outreach efforts and within our Students Ambassadors Project to ensure local students have access to new books and literacy activities on a consistent basis. Recognizing our 40 Literacy Fellows serving in 14 public schools who impact approximately 8,251 students across the Texas Panhandle, the Amarillo Branch NAACP was delighted to present The Leaders Readers Network with an award for our efforts.
Thank you, Amarillo Branch NAACP, for the 2024 Special Achievement Award! The Leaders Readers Network had an amazing time celebrating the work of our local civil rights organization who took the time to recognize area nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Congratulations to all the other extraordinary individuals and organizations recognized! We are proud to serve alongside you. Together, we will SERVE, LEAD, and READ across the Texas Panhandle!
