#MyGivingStory is about a network that believes in literacy for all

My Giving Story is about the many lives that are impacted by resilient educators across the nation and globe. Educators that sacrifice their time and many other things to ensure that students are ready for the world. Educators that are fulfilled when they see growth and new levels of achievement within their students. Educators ensure student’s social, mental and academic well-being. Educators embrace all who step through their doors, even the most challenging ones.  Educators are heroes in their own right. They exemplify the definition of servitude. I am proud to work alongside so many caring individuals. It’s because of Educators that all other professions are possible. 

My Giving Story is about the hundreds of students that I have encountered and even those that I have yet to encounter. Students that are seeking to find a purpose in the world. Students seeking to learn about the many things that the world beholds. Students that remind educators of the very reason they chose such a profession. If you teach a child to read, you’ll unlock a world of possibilities. If you show a child you care, they will run leaps and bounds to make you proud.  Students are the future leaders of tomorrow.

My Giving Story is about a network that believes in literacy for all. A network that puts a modern day spin on the Reading Rainbow. If we would only take a look, almost everything we could imagine is in a book. The Leaders Readers Network is what my giving story is about. The courageous founder, Chris McGilvery. The awesome Teacher and Student Ambassadors. The many volunteers and donors. This is what My Giving Story is about. A network that opens the hearts of others by instilling servitude and gratitude within all they encounter. The impactful service projects that connect those across the nation. Literacy for all. Equity for all. This is what it is about.
