The Leaders Readers Network cultivates leaders and readers to support equitable education and literacy for all.
There are 1,700,000 children who live at or below the poverty level in Texas.
Millions of low-income children do not have access to books in their homes, which hinders their literacy potential. Our network of teachers and students work to break down the educational barriers faced by low-income communities. Donate today to grow leaders and readers.
OUR IMPACT
The Leaders Readers Network provides service projects for teachers and students.
Our experienced team of teachers, students, and community members implement service projects dedicated to improving literacy outcomes at underfunded and under resourced schools. By providing new books, school supplies, leadership training, and mentorship opportunities, our network is building lifelong leaders and unlocking a love for reading among students from all backgrounds. “When teachers and students work authentically together to promote early literacy in communities that are underserved and under-resourced, they can help equalize education for all children.”

Why Join
The Leaders Readers Network?
The Leaders Readers Network is a community of students and teachers who participate in leadership workshops and service projects to actively make a difference and close the literacy gap. Through our service projects, our students and teachers are empowering youth volunteers and increasing the number of service projects happening in schools and communities. Together, we are growing leaders and readers as we combat illiteracy and education inequities.
We must support teachers and students at underfunded schools.
With more than 4,000 Title 1 Schools in Texas today, students and teachers need your help to reach the most vulnerable students and share a lifelong love for learning, reading and creativity.
