Overview:

This lesson helps young children understand what doctors do and how they help people stay healthy. Through reading I Want to Be a Doctor, students explore the tools doctors use, discuss healthy habits, and engage in pretend play to experience a doctor’s role. Fun activities like crafting a doctor’s bag, sorting healthy habits, and a handwashing experiment make learning interactive and meaningful. By the end of the lesson, students recognize doctors as important community helpers and learn simple ways to care for their own health.
