Are you a teacher participating in TLRN’s Literacy Fellowship? The Leaders Readers Network is seeking Teacher Leaders to support Pre-K through 3rd grade readers in the following regions to support Title 1 Schools with sustainable long-term literacy initiatives.

WHY THIS MATTERS

  • Supports school districts with literacy and community resources to ensure kids at Title I Public Schools have the resources to become avid readers
  • Support educators with high quality literacy materials to support foundational literacy skills for young readers
  • Ensure students have access to books to further reading development
  • Engage community partnership to share the joy of read alouds
  • Lead sustainable literacy initiatives to ensure kids are reading at or above grade level by 3rd grade

Teacher Leader Responsibilities

  • Implement the Literacy Fellowship requirements

  • Support book selection

  • Complete mid year (February 2026) and end of year portfolios (May 2026) and donor thank you notes

  • Attend the 2026 Literacy Summit Conference

  • Promote the Literacy Fellowship for Pre-k through 3rd grade teachers across campuses within your district

  • Help coordinate book giveaways

  • Engage local businesses as volunteer readers and literacy partners

  • Host 2 literacy events within the community to hand out 100 books and create visibility for our mission
