The Leaders Readers Network announces new Regional Director and Programs Coordinator to drive literacy initiatives in the Texas Panhandle
Amarillo, Texas — The Leaders Readers Network (TLRN) is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Patrick Miller as the new Regional Director for the Texas Panhandle. With a wealth of experience in educational leadership, including roles as Assistant Principal at both Eastridge and San Jacinto Elementary Schools, Miller is well-prepared to advance TLRN’s mission. His extensive background in curriculum development, school improvement, and community involvement—ranging from the Amarillo Symphony Board of Directors to the Strategic Initiatives Committee of the Amarillo Area Foundation—positions him perfectly to address the literacy challenges faced by schools in Amarillo ISD, Canyon ISD, and surrounding districts. Miller’s leadership will be instrumental in expanding TLRN's Literacy Fellowship and Student Ambassador programs, and enhancing early reading skills in the region.
Joining Miller is Ranell Garner, our dedicated Program Coordinator, who brings a deep passion for literacy and education. Garner, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from West Texas A&M and is a certified educator, has worked with students across various age levels, from early childhood to 6th grade Reading Language Arts. Her commitment to fostering a love for reading and her creative strategies to engage students will play a crucial role in TLRN’s initiatives. Garner’s focus on making reading a joyful and transformative experience aligns seamlessly with TLRN’s goal of providing high-quality, culturally diverse books and resources to Title I schools in the Texas Panhandle.
The Leaders Readers Network remains steadfast in its mission to combat literacy disparities and support educational growth. By partnering with local educators and community organizations, TLRN continues to provide essential resources that help students develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong love of reading. With Patrick Miller’s leadership and Ranell Garner’s dedication, TLRN is poised to make a significant impact in the Texas Panhandle, ensuring that every student has the tools they need to succeed and become the leaders of tomorrow.
